As a gastric band patient, you know how important good follow-up care can be. Whether you are new to the Valley, or a long-time resident seeking a higher quality of care, the Weight Loss Institute of Arizona can assist you. Good follow-up care is crucial to your continued weight loss, weight maintenance, or to help you get back on track. For this reason, our Phoenix, Tempe, Tucson and Scottsdale weight loss center accepts patients with an existing gastric band, regardless of where you had your surgery.
When accepting patients from other practices, we will request all medical records and operative information from your former doctors. We also perform an EGD (esophagogastroduodenoscopy) to evaluate the condition of your esophagus and stomach, as well as the placement of the band. Our surgeons need a complete picture of your band and anatomy in order to provide you with the best possible care.
Joining our practice also includes our support program - it's the key to success for our patients and we want you to have access to the same support and information opportunities as our surgical patients. Our 3-year support program includes access to our registered dietician, support groups, and an exercise physiologist.
